Ever wondered why Marshall is so hot on Texas Markets right now??? Here are just a few reasons… |
-
With a population well over 5 million, the DFW Metroplex is the largest market in the Southern U.S. and ninth largest in the nation. Between 2000 and 2030, the population of this area is expected to grow by 2.7 million people (over 50%) to almost 8 million.
-
Dallas and its suburbs have one of the highest concentrations of corporate headquarters in the U.S. and are known as the Silicon Prairie, owing to the large number of IT projects and the presence of numerous electronics, computing and telecom firms.
-
Other major employers include American Airlines, Lockheed Martin, Citigroup, Baylor Health Care, Raytheon, and Verizon. ExxonMobil, the #1 corporation on the Fortune 500 listings, is headquartered here.
-
The January 2006 issue of Business 2.0 recognized the Dallas/Ft. Worth area along I-35 as one of ten (10) boomtown metro regions that will have expansive growth and development over the next several years.
-
SmartMoney estimated that the DFW area was approximately 14% undervalued. The December ’05 issue of SmartMoney reported that the Dallas/Ft. Worth area was one of the areas of the country where real estate is undervalued which could appreciate easiest in the future.
-
Dallas over the last few years has been one of the top states in the US for business expansion and relocation. Last year alone, DFW landed new and expanded corporate facilities by Countrywide Mortgage, Vought Aircraft, Williamson-Dickie, Del Monte, Home Depot, Washington Mutual, Pier 1, AutoZone, Methodist Health System, RadioShack, D.R. Horton and Cott Beverages, to name a few. The long-term economic impact is in the billions.
Texas has very low tolerance for tenants who don’t pay bills. The laws are advantageous to Landlords. Foreclosures and unlawful detainer actions are much easier and faster than in other states.
